Mielle Organics | Why I Love This Hair Care Line
Mielle Organics is a brand that I have incorporated into my hair care regimen. I love the products that I have tried. I was obsessed about finding products that contained no preservatives. Recently, I have been doing some research and realize that preservatives are necessary to ensure my safety while using certain products. This of course does not exclude some of my DIY items. I did the research and decided what is best for my safety. Please do the same if you have concerns about preservatives used in your personal care products.
Mielle Organics is a hair care line that uses a paraben-free preservative, phenoxyethanol. Until something better comes along, this will do. That’s just my personal preference. What I love about their products is the inclusion of my favorite raw materials. Some of these include babassu oil, shea butter, avocado oil and mint essential oil. Surprisingly, coconut oil is on the list and that doesn’t seem to affect my hair’s progress. Fortunately, my hair doesn’t have a dysfunctional relationship with coconut oil. It can be a bit drying when used on its own but other than that, I have no real problems using coconut oil on my hair. That said, Mielle Organics products have worked flawlessly thus far. Actually, formulations in these products are simple, familiar, and well balanced. My hair loves these ingredients!
My Experience With Mielle Organics Products
Babassu Oil Mint Deep Conditioner
First, I purchased the Babassu Oil Mint Deep Conditioner. This was a few years ago and today I still buy this brand. Conditioning dry hair is so important but I never really appreciated any deep conditioners because none of them had the “it: factor. The search was over when I discovered the Mielle Organics deep conditioner, and I never looked back! Honestly speaking, this deep conditioner never fails my hair. I am never disappointed and my hair always feels healthy, soft, and lovely after using it. My scalp also feels fresh and tingly due to the peppermint. This is the only deep conditioner that I use. A bigger jar would be nice but so far so good!
Moisturizing Avocado Hair Milk
The Avocado Hair Milk has been the best moisturizer for my hair and has been in use for as long as I’ve been using the deep conditioner. I don’t like to complicate my hair care regimen. As a daily conditioner, it makes my hair feel soft and happy. It’s not too greasy and not too heavy. Perfect!
Brazilian Curly Cocktail Curl Cream
When I purchased this product, I did that with the intention of purchasing a moisturizing cream. I wasn’t looking for anything to make my curls pop or anything like that. Like I said, I like to keep things simple. My hair does what it does and I’m not here to always fight its moods. Well, I got more than I bargained for because the Brazilian Curly Cocktail Curl Cream with Babassu Oil does what the label says. It left my hair moisturized and wasn’t weighing my hair down. My curls felt soft and light. Easy!
White Peony Leave-In Conditioner
What can I say? The leave-in conditioner spray is just what I expected it to be. A good moisturizer for those on-the-go days. Sometimes I just pick up and spray away. There is no heavy scent and I love Mielle for this very reason. My only problem with this leave-in spray is that the bottle does not last. I use it a lot!
Honey and Ginger Styling Gel
Fortunately, Mielle Organics introduced a new hair styling gel. I have searched for a gel but was never tempted to try anything on the shelves. Hard, flaky hair is not on my list of positive hair experiences. The breakage and damage are to be avoided around these parts. Well, as much as humanly possible! Something that could be slightly moisturizing with a minimal amount of hold suits my hair well. Mielle Organics Honey & Ginger Styling Gel contains babassu oil, shea butter, and honey. The gel has a beautiful ginger scent but it isn’t overpowering. Most of all, my hair never feels crunchy and dry after using it correctly. I wouldn’t use this on dry, brittle hair. Moisturized strands will definitely benefit from the light hold that this gel provides.
Consequently, I’ll be trying the Babassu Oil Conditioning Shampoo. It’s odd enough that I haven’t tried it yet. I anticipate a decent cleansing shampoo without any serious issues.
Mielle Organics Packaging
I should mention that the brand has gone way beyond the expected with their packaging. I am not always impressed with pretty packaging, especially if the product isn’t for me. When I saw the box, then opened it, it was like a party! It wasn’t even my birthday but I felt like it was when that package first arrived. The best part about it all is that the pretty pink box is reusable. Pretty packaging? Yes! Do the products work for me? Absolutely!
Are you using Mielle Organics hair care products? If so, I’d love to know how well they work for you. All things considered, these are my chosen Mielle Organics products at this time. They are my recommendations to you. In the meantime, feel free to explore all of the options from this lovely line of hair goodies.
In conclusion, this is a comprehensive hair care brand. A new Mongogo Oil Collection has been launched by Mielle Organics and I’m sure it will do as well as the original. I hope you enjoy this brand as much as I do!
